Two cover variations, including a west coast and an east coast cover. Cover is really red! Good article on the arrest of Mac Dre and members of the Crestside Country Club Gang. Advertisement for the Hieroglyphics – Thirdeye vision. Lol, you’re gonna love this cover: google Big Bear – Doin Thangs, it’s the same cover artists (Pen & Pixel) who did Snoops – Da Game and Silkk The Shocker’s Charge It 2 Da Game cover. Of course, then you can see one of my favorite covers, Devin The Dude on a toilet.
Classic cover with the big three that were running the bay in 1994, Master P, Herm, and JT the Bigga Figga. This issue was well put together, great ads, articles on The History of West Coast Rap by Billy Jam. Pictures of 2pac I have never seen with Thug Life, also an “breaking news” section that Pac was shot. Also a great interview with Redman, talking about being at home high as shit and playing Super Nintendo’s Star Fox.
4080 magazine had a large collection of memorable covers including this one. Even though it was based out of S.F. and had a large amount of Bay Area artists, it also balanced things out with interviews with Nas and advertisements ranging from Crucial Conflict, Mac Dre, and Redman. For any Pac fan, this is a must issue, it is not only a harder issue to find, but also is about 50% dedicated to Pac related issues.
