The Illtip Magazine #37 : Dutch & Mr. Kee Cover

I’m not sure what was going on in this issue. I’m just gonna give Illtip a mulligan and move on.

The Illtip Magazine #43 : Verb Stylo Cover

Anytime you put a wall of magazines on your cover, it gets props in my book. Saw the cover to No Sleep’s album Ghetto Icon, now that’s a kick ass cover.

The Illtip Magazine #42 : Boss Players Cover

Man, this issue struggled from beginning to end, I’m just gonna leave it at that.

The Illtip Magazine #34 : Mr. Kee Cover

Nice cover. X-Raided and Keak Da Sneak advertisements inside. Huge amount of ads and not enough articles.

The Illtip Magazine #36 : Corporate Thugs Cover

What is going on with this cover? There’s a snake floating in mid air, aligator under a chair, money photoshoped on table, and a fireplace in the background. In fairness to Illtip Mag, the design is from their album cover, but damn, to put it fully on the cover?

The Illtip Magazine #38 : Riderlife Cover

Decent cover. Dogday Records is getting shelled in this issue, not only by the Illtip Magazine but from Sir Dyno and the interviewer. Would be interesting to find out the inside scoop. Pretty light on articles of any significance, but some nice advertisements.

The Illtip Magazine #20 1997 : 20-2-Life Mia X Cover

The Illtip Magazine is mostly Bay Area related but the content was very entertaining in this issue. Some things interesting, others dumb or funny. First Rappin 4-Tay has an ad where he is boxing in a gym and it says “Gettin’ Ready For Tha…97”, boxing in jeans? Lez Mone ad with her sitting on a toilet with a bunch of toilet paper everywhere “Still Talking Shit”? lol. Lighter Shade of Brown saying “Back in the 9 Sizzle” forgot about that one. Guce in a cool ad for Clear and Present Danger. Nice 1 page Q&A for the Alkaholiks and another for 3X Krazy with a young Keak Da Sneak.
